Reglement / Rules

  1. Le 4ème Concours International de Piano de Lyon est ouvert à tous les pianistes de toute nationalité. La limite d'âge est de 33 ans. Nés après le 1er janvier 1979.
  2. Sélection des candidats par DVD ou CD avec un programme de 20 minutes maximum, se composant d'une œuvre de J.S.Bach et de deux études au choix du candidat.
  3. Demi-finale : le 5 et 6 juillet 2012. Les candidats sélectionnés par DVD ou CD présenteront un programme libre de 25 à 30 minutes.
  4. Finale-Récital : le 7 juillet 2012. 6 candidats seront retenus pour présenter un programme libre de 50 à 60 minutes, comportant obligatoirement une ou plusieurs œuvres d'Alexandre Scriabine. Les candidats pourront inclure dans ce programme les œuvres enregistrées pour la sélection.
  5. Soirée de Gala le 7 juillet 2012. Récital des 3 Lauréats. Remise des prix, vote du « Prix du public ». Obligation de présence de tous les finalistes à la Soirée de Gala et à la remise des récompenses.
  6. Tous les enregistrements vidéo et audio restent la propriété du Concours. La participation au Concours vaut pour accord de tous les candidats.
  7. Le droit d'inscription ne sera ni remboursé, ni reporté en aucun cas.
  8. Le jury aura toute latitude pour attribuer ou non les récompenses. Le jury se réserve le droit d'écourter la prestation d'un candidat (veuillez respecter le minutage !).
  9. Les décisions du jury sont sans appel.
  10. En cas de litige seule la rédaction du règlement en langue française fera foi.
  11. Toutes les épreuves sont publiques.
  12. Les candidats sont priés de prévenir le secrétariat en cas d'absence.
  13. Les frais de voyage et d'hébergement sont à la charge des candidats. Cependant il y aura possibilité de demander l'hébergement chez l'habitant. (voir avec le secrétariat du Concours).
  14. Les photocopies des partitions sont interdites (loi du 11 /3/ 57 code pénal art. 425).
  15. Toute inscription implique l'acceptation du règlement.

  17. En cas d’égalité la voix du président du jury est prépondérante et compte double.

2e prix : 2500 € et 1 engagement de concert
3e prix : 1500 € et 1 engagement de concert

Pour les 3 autres finalistes, diplôme de mérite et cadeaux

  1. Lyon’s 4th International Piano Contest is opened to all pianists of any nationality. The limit of age is 33 years for people born after 1 January 1979.
  2. Candidates will be selected sending a DVD or CD with a 20 minutes pogram maximum including a piece by J.S.BACH and 2 studies of their choice.
  3. Semi finals: 5 and 6 July 2012. The candidates selected by DVD or CD will play a 25-30 minutes free program.
  4. Final-Recital: 7 July 2012. 6 candidates will be selected for a free 50 or 60 minutes program that will include one or several pieces by Alexandre Scriabine. The candidates will be allowed to include the recorded work from their selection.
  5. Evening party: 7 July 2012. The 3 winners will play a recital. Award and “Audience Award” ceremony. All the finalists are required to be present at the evening party and at the award presentation ceremony.
  6. All the video and audio recordings are the property of the Contest organization committee. Participating in the contest will mean that the candidates accept those terms.
  7. No possibility to refund or carry forward the application fee.
  8. The award attribution is at the jury’s entire discretion. The jury might shorten a candidate’s performance - please respect the performance time allowed.
  9. The jury’s decisions cannot be appealed.
  10. In case of any dispute, the rules written in French will prevail.
  11. All the contest performances are open to the public.
  12. In case of an absence, we kindly ask the candidates to give the secretary’s office prior notice.
  13. The travelling and accommodation costs are at the expense of the candidates. However, there is a possibility to stay as a paying guest (please contact the Contest secretary’s office).
  14. Photocopying musical scores is forbidden (law of 11/3/57 - penal code art. 425).
  15. Any registration involves the candidates’ acceptance of the rules.
  16. Closing date for registration: 30 May 2012.
  17. In case of an equality, the vote from president of the jury will prevail and count as double.
